Erst im Februar diesen Jahres erschien mit „Cycle of Suffering“ die aktuellste und fünfte Langrille der Band aus Reading. Allerdings schloss sich dem Release eine weltweite Pandemie an und ergo konnte das Album nicht bespielt werden. Was passiert, wenn man einem umtriebigen Musiker wie Sänger und Gitarrist Josh Middleton jedoch sein natürliches Habitat, die Bühne, vorenthält, kann man jetzt in Form der neuen Single „Worship Decay“ begutachten. Middleton äußerte sich zum neuen Song folgendermaßen:
„With everything happening in our world right now, we wanted to keep things moving in Sylosis‘ world. We started writing new music as we entered the first set of lockdowns and ‘Worship Decay’ quickly developed as a song we feel confident stands up by itself and showcases something different for Sylosis. We’re of course looking forward to playing music live again (hopefully soon!), but it feels great to be able to continue creating music and sharing it with our fans during this time of uncertainty and unrest.„
Ob sich dem Titel eine EP oder gar schon wieder ein neues Album anschließt bleibt indes abzuwarten.
